Job summary

Princess Alice Hospice in Esher seeks a compassionate Senior Staff Nurse for our In-Patient Unit to lead and mentor junior staff in providing high-quality palliative care. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, supervising and guiding students and new nurses, ensuring evidence-based care and clinical supervision.

The role emphasizes mentoring, patient-focused care, and education opportunities within a supportive, emotionally demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with the NMC
• Palliative care qualification (ECEPC)
• Evidence of ongoing professional development in specialist palliative care
• Assessors training
• Evidence of post-registration courses undertaken
• Diploma or Degree level study

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Senior Staff Nurse to join our In-Patient Unit., As our Senior Staff Nurse a true team player, with excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to care. You'll be motivated to provide excellent patient care using your holistic assessment skills, whilst liaising closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team. In this Senior Staff Nurse role, you will be comfortable acting as a mentor, supervisor, and assessor, you'll enjoy providing support and a positive learning environment to new and junior staff within our IPU. The role requires you to have palliative care experience / end of life care, or you have transferrable skills gained in intensive or elderly care and you're looking to join a caring organisation which will support you as a person and professional to grow and progress in your career.,
