Job summary

Bolton Hospice is seeking an inspirational Service Lead for the 16-bed Inpatient Unit in Bolton. The post combines strategic service development with hands-on clinical leadership, guiding a multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding patient care and family support.

The role requires an experienced Registered Nurse with post-registration leadership experience, strong governance knowledge and a commitment to continuous improvement. Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Band 7 (£49,387–£55,515 p.a.).

Qualifications

• Experience leading clinical teams and developing staff.
• Strong knowledge of governance, quality assurance and patient care standards.
• Ability to drive service development and deliver compassionate, person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Lead the 16-bed Inpatient Unit with clinical and operational oversight.
• Promote high standards of palliative care and governance processes.
• Support staff development and lead a multidisciplinary team.
• Balance clinical practice with management responsibilities and attend meetings across the organisation.
