Job summary

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Specialist Occupational Therapist for the Inpatient Stroke team. The role involves supporting clinical leads, managing a specialty caseload, and contributing to service improvement across the stroke ward. Weekend work is required as part of the 7-day service provision.

You will work within the Rehabilitation Team, supervising and educating staff while adhering to Trust policies and governance. NHS experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Registered with HCPC.
• Evidence of Postgraduate Training.
• Clinical Educator Training.
• Member of Professional Body.
• Masters level or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Act as a specialist clinician for stroke and neuro patients.
• Manage own specialist caseload.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
• Carry out specialist assessment and treatment to facilitate safe discharges.
• Develop and evaluate individualised treatment programmes and provide specialist advice.
