Job summary

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust (CHFT) is recruiting a Specialist Occupational Therapist (Inpatient Stroke) at Band 6. This permanent role requires 37.5 hours/week with flexible working and weekend participation as part of a 7-day service.

The post involves supporting Clinical Leads and Team Leaders, delivering OT interventions across the stroke ward, and contributing to service development and staff training. NHS experience is essential.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration required.
• Evidence of postgraduate training.
• Clinical Educator Training desirable.
• Member of a professional body.
• Masters level or equivalent postgraduate study.

Responsibilities

• Act as a specialist clinician for stroke and neuro patients.
• Manage a specialist caseload in this area.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within Trust policies.
• Carry out specialist assessment and treatment to facilitate safe discharge and transfer of care.
• Develop and evaluate individualised treatment programmes and provide specialist advice.
