Job summary

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join the Inpatient Therapy Team. You will support Clinical Leads in delivering OT interventions across the stroke ward and contribute to service development and staff training.

The role involves working in a 7-day service with weekend duties and requires NHS experience at undergraduate or postgraduate level.

Qualifications

• Specialist clinician for the Occupational Therapy service with stroke and neuro patients
• Manage own specialist caseload in stroke/neuro
• Work autonomously within Trust policies and professional practice
• Carry out specialist assessment and treatment to facilitate safe, timely discharges

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and modify individualised treatment programmes
• Provide specialist advice and liaise with other agencies as required
• Participate in education/training of staff including medical staff
• Support Clinical Lead in day-to-day running of the Rehabilitation Team
• Advise within MDT on service delivery
