Job summary

Responsibilities include venipuncture, blood culture procedures, maintaining safety, and updating LIS/HIS with accurate patient data. Entry-level phlebotomy certification within 1 year is acceptable with on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification within 1 year.
• Able to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff.

• Able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Phlebotomy techniques including venipuncture, micro collection, and blood cultures.
• Ensure positive patient identification and correct specimen labeling.
• Enter patient and test information into LIS/HIS and schedule tests.
• Maintain a clean, safe phlebotomy area and manage supplies.
