Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is expanding its phlebotomy service and seeks a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills to join a dedicated team delivering patient-focused venepuncture services for inpatients, outpatients and GP patients. You will work in a 7-day rota with weekend and bank holiday commitments.

The role requires strong team collaboration, initiative, attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of service delivery in a busy hospital

Qualifications

• Experience of dealing with patients and staff in hospital environment or Blood Test Clinics is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills are integral to the post.
• Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.

• Provide front line phlebotomy services to hospital inpatients, outpatients and GP patients.
• Work as part of a dedicated phlebotomy team to deliver a high standard of service.

Job description

Due to the expansion of our busy service we are looking for a dynamic individuals with excellent communication skills to join our Phlebotomy Service. You will work within a dedicated team who provide front line care to hospital inpatients, outpatients & GP patients.

You will need to be flexible in your approach to working as the Phlebotomy service is provided 7 days a week operated on a rota basis. You must be willing to work weekends and bank holidays.Excellent communication and organisational skills are integral to the post. Being proficient in venepuncture is integral in this role , If you have what it takes to deliver and you want to make a difference then

You will be able to work well within a team, be able to use your initiative and be willing to acquire new skills and knowledge. Attention to detail will be a key characteristic. You will be able to work in a busy environment and have a strongly held commitment to high standards of service delivery.

Experience of dealing with patients and staff in the hospital environment or Blood Test Clinics will be of benefit.
