Job summary

Oxford Health is seeking a Band 5 Occupational Therapist for Amber ward (Older adult acute) at the Whiteleaf Centre, Aylesbury. You will join a strong inpatient OT team within a ward MDT, with supervision from senior staff and support for preceptorship through the Flyer Programme.

The post offers opportunities for skill development, involvement in MOHO-based interventions, and progression within a broad OT service across Oxfordshire. NHS benefits and ongoing CPD are highlighted.

Qualifications

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with current HCPC registration.
• Experience in Mental Health settings is desirable.
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Carry a caseload as a member of the MDT and help develop OT service provision.
• Perform initial screening and assessments; provide intensive short-term treatment when appropriate.
• Carry out case formulation to inform intervention plans.
• Assess and prescribe equipment to enable safety and independence with ADLs; advise staff and carers.
