Job summary

The Band 6 occupational therapist will work in the older adult mental health in-patient team, covering Hillview ward at Royal Blackburn Hospital. You will assess patients whose mental health impacts daily functioning and plan interventions for complex needs.

Post-registration MH experience is essential; you will work autonomously within a fast-paced MDT to support timely discharges and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BSc (Hons) in occupational therapy.
• HCPC registration is required.
• Post-registration mental health experience essential.
• Familiarity with audit processes and evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessments for patients whose mental health affects occupational functioning.
• Plan and deliver occupational therapy interventions for complex needs.
