Job summary

CNTW NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to contribute to the Adult In-patient OT service at St Nicholas Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne. You will assess and intervene, supporting discharge planning and patient recovery, with the opportunity to work across wards as needed.

You will work autonomously while receiving supervision from a Band 6 OT and develop professionally, including personal and professional development opportunities within a supportive MDT environment.

Qualifications

• Recognised Occupational Therapy degree qualification.
• Registered with HCPC.
• Commitment to complete fieldwork education training.
• Member of the RCOT.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy assessments and interventions to patients with diverse needs.
• Involve carers and families in intervention planning where appropriate.
• Develop and deliver evidence-based OT interventions with service users and carers.
