Job summary

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an Occupational Therapist (Band 6) to join our Acute Discharge Services team at Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital in Cramlington. The role is part-time (28.5 hours per week) with flexible working and service hours 8am–8pm seven days.

You will work with MDT, develop skills in elderly care, acute and emergency medicine, leadership, audits, and supervision, and contribute to discharge planning and patient care across sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in OT and HCPC registered.
• Minimum 18 months post-registration experience.
• Experience with audit procedures.
• Driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive OT service across specialist areas.
• Lead and supervise junior staff and students.
• Deliver assessments, treatment, and discharge planning.
• Participate in audits and service development.
