Job summary

Vax, part of Techtronic Industries (TTI), is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer (NPD) to deliver robust, manufacturable designs for global floorcare products at our Droitwich Spa site.

You will work with cross-functional teams to meet performance targets, develop CAD models, perform analysis, and contribute to the NPD process from concept to production. A proactive, collaborative mindset and hands-on approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in tolerance stack-ups and CAD modelling of complex parts and assemblies.
• Capable in FEA, mathematical analysis of mechanisms, and failure analysis.
• Good understanding of materials, heat treatments, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Drive robust, manufacturable mechanical designs for NPD.
• Deliver on project goals with minimal oversight, considering design impacts on performance.
• Present technical information to cross-functional teams and drive clear communication with support groups.
