Job summary

Vax, part of Global Floorcare, is seeking an Advanced Development Technical Research Manager in Droitwich Spa. You will lead the engineering sciences team across CFD, NVH, system modelling and Multi-Physics, guiding technology maturation with rigorous analysis and experimentation.

You will apply first principles and mechanical judgement to drive robust electro-mechanical system concepts, collaborate with electrical and design teams, and influence product architectures and investment decisions in

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems Engineering or related discipline.
8+ years in Advanced Development, Research, Mechanical, Simulation or Systems Engineering for complex products.
Experience with motors, compressors, filtration systems and pumps is desirable.
Leadership of CFD, NVH, System Modelling, Multi-Physics or Performance Engineering teams.
Strong knowledge of mechanical design, fluid dynamics, aeroacoustics, heat transfer and system-level engineering.

Responsibilities

Lead the Engineering Sciences capability across CFD, NVH, Modelling and Multi-Physics.
Guide evaluation and maturation of new technologies with engineering analysis and experimentation.
Apply first principles to solve complex challenges and define system requirements.
Develop system understanding, models and technical requirements for concept development.
Partner with Electrical and Industrial Design to ensure robust electro-mechanical systems.
