Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking an R&D Engineer/Technologist (Materials Science/Chemistry) for a permanent on-site role in the Stoke-on-Trent area. You will lead cradle-to-grave development projects to improve product range and processes.

You should have a degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Ceramics, Metallurgy or related field, and hands-on R&D experience in manufacturing. A full driving license is required, and you will work with pilots, trials, and suppliers to drive new products

Stoke-on-Trent (Commutable from: Newcastle-under-Lyme, Crewe, Stafford, Nantwich, Stone, Congleton, Macclesfield)

Are you an Engineer/Technologist looking to lead cradle-to-grave development work to make a genuine impact on the product range, performance and future growth of the business? Do you have a materials science, chemistry, ceramics or metallurgy background and the curiosity to explore and test new materials?

This is a permanent, on-site role with a long-established British manufacturer known for product quality and global reach. You'll be given the chance to take ownership of new concepts and drive them through trials into real-world manufacture.

Working with the engineering & technical team, you'll research and develop new materials/processes, plan, and run laboratory/pilot/production trials, evaluate suppliers and raw materials, analyse technical data, and work closely with stakeholders to help launch new products and processes.
