This is a varied role where you'll combine technical skills, problem solving and innovation to help shape how the organisation works. You'll work with a wide range of Microsoft tools including Teams, SharePoint, Planner, Bookings, Lists and Power Automate, helping to configure, maintain and improve the digital services that the entire workforce relies on every day.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning new technology and finding innovative ways to improve processes. You'll work alongside experienced digital professionals, supporting users, testing new features, implementing solutions and helping the organisation get the best value from its technology investments.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting and administering Microsoft 365 applications and services.
  • Responding to and resolving M365 support requests.
  • Configuring and maintaining Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and other M365 tools.
  • Designing and troubleshooting Power Automate workflows.

  • Producing user guides, technical documentation and knowledge articles.
  • Supporting governance, security and compliance requirements.
  • Working with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Contributing ideas to improve business processes and digital services.

Why This Role Matters

Behind every frontline officer and member of police staff is a network of systems, information and digital services that help them protect communities and keep people safe.

As an Innovation Technician, your work will have a direct impact on how effectively colleagues can access information, collaborate with one another and carry out their responsibilities. By improving processes, reducing manual administration and helping users get the most from technology, you'll play an important role in supporting operational policing across Lincolnshire.

You’ll also help shape the future of digital working within the organisation. Technology evolves constantly, and so do we. This role offers the chance to explore new capabilities, influence improvements and contribute to a culture of innovation where great ideas can make a real difference.

If you enjoy technology, love solving problems and want your work to have genuine purpose, this could be the role for you.

  • Knowledge of Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Forms, Lists, Planner, Bookings and related M365 tools.
  • Ability to communicate technical information in a clear and simple way.
  • Experience producing accurate technical documentation.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
