About the Role

Are you someone who enjoys understanding how things work and finding better ways of doing them? We're looking for an Innovation Business Analyst to help transform the way Lincolnshire Police delivers services through digital innovation, automation and smarter processes.

This role sits at the heart of change, working with teams across the organisation to identify opportunities where technology can reduce manual effort, improve efficiency and enhance service delivery. You'll analyse business processes, gather requirements, evaluate solutions and help deliver automation technologies, primarily through Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Microsoft Power Platform tools.

You'll act as the bridge between operational teams and technical specialists, helping turn ideas and challenges into practical, secure and effective solutions that make a real difference.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Working with stakeholders across the Force to understand business challenges, opportunities and requirements.
  • Identifying and analysing processes that could be improved through automation or digital solutions.
  • Producing business requirements, process maps, user stories and other project documentation.
  • Supporting the design, testing, implementation and evaluation of RPA and Power Platform solutions.
  • Facilitating workshops, discussions and engagement with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Monitoring project progress, reporting on outcomes and measuring benefits realised.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and identifying opportunities for efficiency savings.
  • Researching emerging technologies and recommending innovative approaches to support policing.
Why This Role Matters

Every hour saved through automation is time that can be redirected towards supporting frontline policing and delivering better services to the public. As an Innovation Business Analyst, you'll play a key role in helping the organisation work smarter by reducing manual processes, improving data quality and enabling colleagues to focus on activities that add the greatest value.

This is a unique opportunity to influence how technology is used across Lincolnshire Police, helping shape innovative solutions that improve services today while preparing the organisation for the challenges of tomorrow.

What We're Looking For
  • Experience as a Business Analyst, Digital Analyst or similar role within a technology enabled environment.
  • Experience identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation or digital transformation.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements, recommendations and practical solutions.
  • Strong process mapping, analysis and documentation skills, including user stories and business requirements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage people at all levels.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Power Platform and business process automation technologies, ideally including RPA.
  • Understanding of information governance, data protection and information security principles.
  • A proactive, analytical and innovative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.

If you're curious, solutions focused and motivated by making a tangible impact through technology, we'd love to hear from you.
