Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is seeking an Ink Technician for a Northampton-based manufacturing site. The role covers ink production support, on-site technical assistance and ensuring daily production targets are met.

The temporary 3-month assignment offers daytime Monday-Friday hours, with some flexibility, and the opportunity to extend. You will dispense ink, manage stock, and support colour correction and basic troubleshooting on press.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge relevant to ink production and on-site support.
• Good colour vision and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to complete daily duties independently without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Dispense ink in line with daily production plans.
• Move products to and from machines where applicable.
• Book press returns into the dispense management system and place them in clearly marked locations.
• Organise press returns into clusters of common running colours.
• Place weekly material orders using the order form provided.
• File delivery notes for month-end consignment stock counts.
• Book new deliveries into the dispense management system.
• Replenish material stock records within the dispense management system.
• Arrange the collection of empty containers and waste ink, ensuring containers are safely palletised and lids are secured.
• Ensure the ink area complies with the customer's hygiene accreditation requirements.
• Support on-site colour correction and basic troubleshooting on press.
