Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is partnering with an established international manufacturer in South Wales to recruit an Injection Moulding Process Technician for the Tredegar site. The role covers setting, troubleshooting and optimising injection moulding processes across multiple machines, with a hands-on, practical approach to maintain reliable production.

You will work with an experienced technical team, contribute to process improvements, tool changes and mould trials, and mentor operators and junior

Qualifications

• Experience setting and troubleshooting injection moulding machines.
• Solid understanding of thermoplastic materials and process parameters.
• Ability to diagnose defects and determine root cause (machine, tooling, material or process).
• Experience across different machines and adapting to new equipment.
• Independent, methodical problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out mould tool changes, machine setting and process adjustments.
• Diagnosing and resolving injection moulding defects and production problems.
• Optimising process parameters to improve quality, cycle times and reduce scrap.
• Investigating issues with machinery, tooling and materials, working alongside Maintenance and Toolmaking colleagues where required.
• Supporting mould trials, process improvements and the introduction of new tooling.
• Sharing your technical knowledge with operators and less experienced setters.
