Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd is partnering with an established international manufacturer in South Wales to recruit an experienced Injection Moulding Process Technician for its Tredegar operation. The role covers setting, troubleshooting and optimising injection moulding processes across different machines.

You will join a technical team with recent investment in equipment and a strong order book, and you will work weekend days, 7am to 7pm, focusing on quality, waste reduction and efficient cycle times.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and troubleshooting injection moulding machines.
• Good understanding of thermoplastic materials and process parameters.
• Ability to diagnose defects and identify machine/tooling/material/process related causes.
• Experience working across different machines and adapting knowledge.
• Methodical, independent problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mould tool changes, machine setting and process adjustments.
• Diagnose and resolve injection moulding defects and production problems.
• Optimise process parameters to improve quality, cycle times and reduce scrap.
• Investigate issues with machinery, tooling and materials, collaborating with Maintenance and Toolmaking.
• Support mould trials, process improvements and new tooling introductions.
• Share technical knowledge with operators and less experienced setters.
