Job summary

5S Recruitment Limited is seeking an Injection Mould Setter / Technician in Castleford for a permanent afternoon position. You will combine tool setting with processing adjustments, fault diagnosis and production support to sustain quality and efficiency.

The fixed 1:30pm–10:00pm shift comprises 40 paid hours weekly, offering a stable afternoons pattern. A background in injection moulding and tool changes is preferred and will be discussed in detail during interview.

Qualifications

• Experience setting injection moulding machinery and starting production.
• Understanding of processing parameters and component quality.
• Ability to investigate defects and resolve process problems.
• Knowledge of safe mould handling and tool changes.
• Proven record-keeping and shift handovers.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe mould changes, machine setups and start-ups.
• Maintain processing conditions for consistent components.
• Diagnose faults and adjust processes to resolve quality issues.
• Monitor machine performance and cycle consistency.
• Identify scrap causes and support improvements.
• Keep accurate setting records and provide shift handovers.
• Escalate faults needing engineering support.
• Maintain safe, clean moulding environment.
