Sopra Steria Ltd in Gloucestershire is seeking an Infrastructure Tester to join a dedicated Defence and Security team. You will validate performance, reliability, and security of infrastructure components across physical and virtual environments, and contribute to project delivery.

The role is full-time and on-site with flexible hours considered. ISTQB Foundation Level is preferred; experience with VMware/Hyper-V/Citrix and Windows Server/Client environments, plus eligibility for Enhanced DV

Qualifications

• Experience in Infrastructure Test roles such as Infrastructure Test Support or Infrastructure Test Engineer.
• Strong technical background in Windows Client and Server operating systems in physical and virtual environments.
• Experience of end-to-end integration testing.
• ISTQB Foundation Level certification, preferably up to Advanced Level Technical Test Analyst or equivalent.

Due to the nature of work, this role is onsite, based in Gloucestershire, with compressed working hours considered, for example working five days over four.

What you’ll be doing:

Employment Type: Full‑time, Permanent. Compressed hours considered, for example five days in four.

Location: Gloucestershire.

Security Clearance Level: Eligible to undergo Enhanced DV (eDV).

Salary: Up to £60,000 base, with flexibility dependent on experience.
