Infrastructure / Technical Architect- D365 FO

Location: London- 2 days a week in office

Salary: Up to £85k + benefits (DOE)

We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect to join our client’s Finance Technologies department, focusing on Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) implementations. This is an exciting opportunity to lead technical solutions, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive the successful delivery of enterprise-level projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take overall technical ownership of project environments, ensuring seamless transition until system handover.
• Lead technical workshops during the initial project phase, providing design guidance on extensions, modifications, data migration, environment provisioning, and application integration.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define technical requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Implement and enforce security best practices across the solution landscape.
• Provide expert knowledge on the D365 F&O technology stack and associated Microsoft technologies, including Azure, Azure SQL, Power BI, Common Data Service, and Power Apps.
• Communicate strategic technical concepts effectively to senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor at the executive level.
• Ensure technical solutions align with business requirements, performance goals, and the client’s long-term strategy.
• Develop and maintain key documentation, including system architecture diagrams, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
• Design and implement disaster recovery and backup plans for IT platforms.
• Enhance development, testing, and release processes, driving efficiency and quality in D365 implementations.
• Identify and document technical risks and issues, proactively working to mitigate and resolve them.
• Oversee server and development environment maintenance and build processes.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Proven track record in end-to-end D365 F&O implementations with a deep understanding of system architecture, including hardware, software, and networking components.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft technologies, including Azure DevOps, Life Cycle Services (LCS), SQL, Power BI, C#, and .NET framework.
• Experience with D365 F&O integrations and interfacing.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 architecture, including configuration, customisation, and integration capabilities.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) is highly desirable.
