Job summary

Quest Global in the United Kingdom is seeking a Systems Engineer to contribute to requirements management, problem understanding, and major infrastructure projects. You will work with customer teams to scope projects, capture requirements and support verification and validation plans.

You will collaborate with engineering leads, participate in stakeholder workshops, produce technical documentation, and drive customer satisfaction while adapting to evolving project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in regulated industries (aerospace, nuclear, maritime, infrastructure, oil and gas).
• Understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements management, integration, and verification and validation.
• Experience organising and supporting stakeholder meetings; ability to engage with stakeholders, technical teams and cross‑functional groups.
• Experience applying systems thinking in environments with legacy systems and evolving problem sets.
• Good understanding of the project lifecycle from concept to operations and maintenance.
• Must be a sole UK national and eligible for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering discipline leads to define activities and jointly establish Statements of Work.
• Collaborate with client leadership to ensure engagement goals are fulfilled and workstream expansion plans implemented.
• Ensure project scoping, requirements capture and problem definition are done effectively and collaboratively.
• Support development of technical documentation including requirement sets, interface definitions, V&V plans and logical architectures.
• Apply and promote practical systems thinking in support of infrastructure and facilities maintenance projects.
• Compile and peer review project and technical reports.
• Manage workload: planning, estimating, scheduling and support project coordination if part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Be adaptable to evolving project requirements and ensure relevant parties are notified of changes.
• Drive customer satisfaction.
