Job summary

Digital Waffle in Southampton seeks an experienced Infrastructure Systems Engineer to own 3rd line infrastructure within a predominantly Microsoft environment. You will champion Azure, Office 365 and Google Workspace, and lead cloud-based projects including new remote office setups.

Beyond technical delivery, you will mentor junior colleagues and contribute to ITIL-aligned processes, with ITIL familiarity considered an advantage in a company known for training and internal progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in Microsoft-based infrastructure including Azure and cloud projects.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and lead technical initiatives.
• Familiarity with ITIL standards; ITIL accreditation is an advantage.

Job description

We are looking to recruit an experienced Infrastructure Systems engineer. This will be broad role in which you would be capable of providing 3rd line infrastructure in a predominantly Microsoft architecture including. Familiarity with Azure and a good knowledge of Office 365 and Google Workspace would be an advantage. You should also be able to be the technical lead on Cloud based infrastructure projects which will include the set up of new remote offices.

In this role you will be a key technical infrastructure lead in an organisation were there are opportunities to make a real difference. In addition to your technical capabilities the ability to act as a technical mentor to less experienced colleagues. You will also be used to working to ITIL standards with an ITIL accreditation being an advantage.
