Job summary

Galliford Try is seeking a Sub Agent for the Sheffield Transforming Cities highways project. You will support site management, ensure timely delivery of works, and collaborate with clients, designers and subcontractors to uphold safety and quality standards.

You will help plan and monitor progress, manage budgets with the commercial team, and promote continuous improvement across the project while maintaining RAMS and other documentation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates a strong commitment to working safely and supporting a positive, inclusive site culture.
• Able to understand and work with drawings, specifications and programme information.
• Well organised, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
• Confident working collaboratively with site teams, subcontractors, designers and clients.
• Brings relevant technical knowledge and qualifications (e.g. HNC or higher in Engineering, SMSTS and relevant CSCS)

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day delivery of a section of works, supporting and guiding site teams and subcontractors.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor progress to keep work on track and aligned with project goals.
• Manage multiple work packages, working collaboratively with the commercial team on costs and performance.
• Promote quality, safety and continuous improvement through regular checks, problem-solving and developing others.
