Galliford Try Ltd in Cheltenham is seeking a Senior Site Agent to manage a major highways project. You will oversee site activities, ensuring safety and quality standards are met while managing project costs and timelines.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in civil engineering, strong communication skills, and relevant qualifications such as SMSTS and CSCS. The role offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to health, safety, and wellbeing.
• Experience managing multiple or large packages of civil engineering works.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, programmes, and schedules.
• Confident communicator who works effectively with site teams, subcontractors, designers, and clients.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to manage costs.
• Strong organization skills to prioritize and delegate effectively.
• Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS and CSCS.
• IT confident (Office 365), CAD experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe and inclusive working environment.
• Manage the day-to-day delivery of a section of works.
• Plan and coordinate work activities to meet programme requirements.
• Monitor performance and report progress to the Project Manager.
• Manage costs across multiple packages of work.
• Identify and manage changes in scope across operations.
• Ensure processes for temporary works are correctly followed.
• Support value engineering opportunities and attend meetings.
• Ensure works are delivered to the correct quality standards.
• Complete regular health and safety checks.
