Job summary

Gortmore Limited is seeking a Site Engineer with PTS for an infrastructure project in South Somerset. You will set out works with GPS, laser levels, and robotic EDM, manage QA documents, read drawings, and liaise with site teams. Daily diary and progress reporting are part of the role.

The ideal candidate has civils exposure, strong communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team delivering on latest drawings and project documents.

Qualifications

• Experience on civils projects including soil nails, earthworks, drainage, service/ductwork installation and concrete structures.
• Excellent knowledge of setting out using GPS, laser levels and robotic EDM.
• Ability to manage QA documents and carry out ITPs.
• Competent reading of drawings and quantifying materials.
• Strong communication skills and ability to distribute project information to colleagues.
• Ensure works follow latest drawings and documents.
• Able to work as part of a team supporting site management with materials, KPIs, progress reports.

Responsibilities

• Set out works on site using GPS, laser levels and robotic EDM.
• Maintain QA records and complete ITPs.
• Read drawings and quantify materials for procurement and installation.
• Distribute project information clearly to site team.
• Ensure compliance with latest drawings and documents.
• Support site management with material control and progress reporting.
• Maintain daily site diary and record key site events.
• Identify and raise potential issues and propose solutions.
