Job summary

The British Museum is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to lead IT infrastructure and networking projects within our estate transformation programme in Bloomsbury, London. You will oversee planning, procurement, supplier management and delivery from inception through to handover.

Working in the Information Services team, you will coordinate IT workstreams across major construction projects, manage budgets and risks, and communicate with both technical and non-technical

Qualifications

• Experience delivering physical IT infrastructure projects across multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Strong networking knowledge including switches, VLANs, WANs, Windows Server, virtualization and AD.
• Experience in procurement, supplier management and contract management.
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and manage cross-departmental requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of multiple infrastructure and technical projects from initiation to completion.
• Manage IT workstreams within building renovation, refurbishment and new-build projects.
• Develop scopes, cost estimates, plans, RAID logs and governance documents.
• Coordinate technical specialists, contractors and third-party suppliers.
• Manage procurement activity and supplier performance.
• Translate requirements into practical technical solutions across departments.
• Manage risks, dependencies and budgets to ensure delivery.
