Job summary

The British Museum is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead infrastructure-focused IT projects within a major estate transformation programme. You will oversee planning, procurement, supplier management and delivery from inception through to handover, working within our Information Services team in a hybrid setup in Bloomsbury, London.

This fixed-term role covers IT infrastructure, networking and enterprise environments, with opportunities to influence the museum's future

Qualifications

• Experience delivering physical IT infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of networking and infrastructure concepts including switches, VLANs, WANs, Windows Server, virtualisation and Active Directory.
• Experience in IT project management with supplier management, procurement and contract management.
• Experience creating and managing project plans, risk registers and governance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of multiple infrastructure and technical projects from initiation to completion.
• Manage IT workstreams within major building renovation, refurbishment and new-build projects.
• Develop project scopes, cost estimates, plans, RAID logs and governance documentation.
