Job summary

Transport for Wales is seeking a seasoned project manager to lead delivery of infrastructure initiatives. The role emphasizes strong stakeholder engagement, governance compliance, and continuous improvement to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have qualifications such as APM PMQ or PRINCE2 and demonstrate experience across the project lifecycle, including NEC contract administration and risk management.

Qualifications

• Possesses a relevant qualification and/or professional accreditation.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the project lifecycle and governance requirements.
• Experience with health, safety, environmental & CDM 2015 regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with health, safety and CDM 2015 requirements and governance
• Promote sharing of best practices across projects to maximise value
• Administer NEC contracts and manage commercial aspects to deliver on time and budget
• Deliver projects to agreed programme and cost baselines with stakeholder updates
• Lead project risk management, including risk reviews and contract risk reduction meetings
• Manage procurement and supplier engagement in line with governance
• Apply project lifecycle frameworks and ensure deliverables are approved per project stage
• Engage stakeholders through meetings and communications to support objectives
• Support environmental and sustainability objectives within project activities
