Job summary

Equal Resourcing Ltd. is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to lead civil infrastructure projects in a hybrid role based in the UK. You will own technical design, mentor engineers and collaborate with clients to deliver high-quality, practical solutions.

The role offers a salary up to £75,000 with progression opportunities and a benefits package. Chartered status is desirable, and significant experience in consultancy is expected.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in civil infrastructure design within an engineering consultancy.
• Strong technical knowledge of highways, drainage, SuDS, flood risk and adoptable infrastructure.
• Experience delivering projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Good understanding of design standards, approval processes and industry regulations.
• Experience using Civil 3D and InfoDrainage.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Chartership is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Leading civil infrastructure projects from feasibility through to delivery.
• Provide technical guidance across highways, drainage, SuDS and flood risk schemes.
• Oversee design and delivery of adoptable roads and sewer infrastructure.
• Review drawings, drainage strategies and Flood Risk Assessments.
• Manage programmes, coordinate design teams and maintain high technical standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and external stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and support career progression within the team.
• Support business development and growth of the infrastructure unit.
• Influence technical decisions and project delivery with senior leadership.
