Job description

Role Title: Infrastructure Manager - End User Compute Lead

Location: Sheffield, Pond Street (Hybrid)

As the Infrastructure Manager working as part of the Technology Service Delivery Team at RMG, you will be responsible for managing 35,000 connected users and 21,500 end user devices, including laptops and desktops, across RMG's nationwide infrastructure estate. You will work cross-functionally with various technology teams and manage multiple outsourced suppliers to deliver projects and services within RMG's end user estate.

You will oversee Annual Evergreen OS Feature upgrades, monthly patching, application packaging, zero-day browser vulnerabilities, and other responsibilities across a large user estate. This role is dynamic and critical to business operations.

What will you do?

• Manage Microsoft OS Gold Image
• Coordinate hardware refreshes for laptops and desktops through established delivery processes
• Deploy Annual Microsoft Evergreen OS Updates to 21,500 users
• Oversee Monthly Security Patching
• Handle Application Packaging and deployment via SCCM
• Build strong relationships with colleagues in Service Management, Architecture, and Cybersecurity
• Manage relationships with Outsourced providers
• Proactively oversee security, risk, and compliance across the End User estate
• Approve Incident, Request, and Change Management processes

What skills and experience should you have?

• Expertise in End User Compute technologies including Microsoft Windows 11, SCCM, Internet Browsers, M365
• Experience with the ServiceNow platform
• Experience in project alignment and advising on Business Case Financials
• Experience supporting large organizations and communicating with Senior Leadership Teams
• Experience managing End User environments via telemetry, persona management, and automation/self-service
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders, business colleagues, suppliers, and technology teams
• Natural collaborator, energetic, and enthusiastic about cross-functional delivery
• ITIL Foundation certification
