Job description

Role Title: Infrastructure Manager - End User Compute Lead

Location: Sheffield, Pond Street (Hybrid)

As the Infrastructure Manager working as part of the Technology Service Delivery Team at RMG, you will be responsible for managing 35,000 connected users and 21,500 end user devices, including laptops and desktops, across RMG's infrastructure estate nationwide. You will work cross-functionally with various internal technology teams and manage multiple outsourced suppliers to deliver projects and services across RMG's end user estate.

You will oversee annual Evergreen OS feature upgrades, monthly patching, application packaging, and addressing browser vulnerabilities, among other responsibilities. This role is dynamic and critical to business operations.

What will you do?

• Manage Microsoft OS Gold Image
• Coordinate hardware refreshes for laptops and desktops
• Deploy annual Microsoft Evergreen OS updates
• Manage monthly security patches
• Handle application packaging and deployment via SCCM
• Build relationships with colleagues across Service Management, Architecture, and Cyber
• Collaborate with outsourced providers
• Proactively manage security, risk, and compliance
• Approve incident, request, and change management processes

What skills and experience should you have?

• Expertise in End User Compute technologies including Microsoft W11, SCCM, Internet Browsers, M365
• Experience with ServiceNow platform
• Experience in project alignment and advising on business case financials
• Experience supporting large organizations and communicating with senior leadership
• Experience managing End User via telemetry, persona management, and automation/self-service
• Strong communication skills for stakeholders, suppliers, and colleagues
• Collaborative, energetic, and enthusiastic about cross-functional delivery
