InfraView Ltd in the United Kingdom seeks a senior Infrastructure Manager to lead a large technical team across Operations and Professional Services. The role focuses on Windows Server, VMware vSphere/ESXi, Linux servers and enterprise storage in datacentre environments.

You will define technical strategy, standards and patterns, driving robust, scalable, highly available infrastructure while engaging with senior stakeholders and clients. This is a home-based role with UK travel.

Infrastructure Manager – £80,000 - £100,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance – Home Based with UK Travel

Are you a senior Infrastructure leader with a strong technical background across Windows, VMware, datacentre technologies, storage and Linux, and experience managing large technical teams across both Operations and Professional Services?

We are looking for an experienced Core Infrastructure Capability Lead to take ownership of a strategically important infrastructure practice, providing technical leadership, operational direction and people management across a team of approximately 100 engineers and technical specialists.

This is a home-based role, open to candidates across the UK, with regular travel, mainly across southern England, required for customer engagement, team collaboration and key business meetings.

Security Clearance

Due to the nature of the work, candidates must currently hold active SC Security Clearance.

What You'll Be Doing

There is NO hands‑on requirement in the position, but you must have a strong technical understanding of core infrastructure and come from a solid infrastructure engineering, architecture or leadership background.

• Leading, managing and developing a technical team of approximately 30 engineers and specialists across Infrastructure Operations and Professional Services.
• Providing senior technical leadership across the core infrastructure capability.
• Setting the technical strategy, engineering standards, reference architectures and approved technology patterns across the infrastructure domain.
• Providing technical leadership across Windows Server, VMware, virtualisation, physical servers, datacentre infrastructure, storage and Linux.
• Driving technical excellence across enterprise infrastructure platforms and ensuring robust, scalable and highly available solutions.
• Providing leadership across VMware vSphere/ESXi, virtualisation platforms and supporting infrastructure technologies.
• Overseeing the design and operation of Windows Server and Microsoft infrastructure across complex enterprise environments.
• Providing strategic direction across Linux platforms, including enterprise Linux server environments.
• Providing technical leadership around enterprise storage, SAN/NAS and data storage technologies.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience in a senior Infrastructure Leadership, Capability Lead, Practice Lead, Head of Infrastructure or similar technical leadership role.
• Experience managing and developing a team of approximately 100 people or a similarly sized technical function.
• Strong technical background across core infrastructure and enterprise datacentre environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Microsoft infrastructure technologies.
• Strong experience across VMware vSphere, ESXi and enterprise virtualisation.
• Strong understanding of physical and virtual server infrastructure.
• Experience across enterprise storage technologies, including SAN/NAS environments.
• Strong understanding of Linux server technologies and enterprise Linux environments.
• Experience working within complex datacentre environments, covering compute, storage, virtualisation and supporting infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure architecture, availability, resilience, capacity and performance.
• Experience managing technical teams across both Operations / Managed Services and Professional Services.
• Excellent stakeholder and customer management skills, with the ability to operate at senior leadership level.
