Job summary

Tokio Marine Kiln group is seeking an Infrastructure Specialist to join our IT team in Greater London. This permanent position involves supporting, maintaining, and enhancing core infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering infrastructure improvements while resolving complex issues. You will collaborate with teams and external partners, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Microsoft technologies.
• Experience with VMware and virtualised environments.
• Working knowledge of Linux-based server operating systems.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience supporting complex infrastructure environments.
• Exposure to DevOps tools and scripting languages.
• Experience with backup and recovery tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide 3rd line support for infrastructure incidents.
• Design, implement, and support new infrastructure services.
• Manage and maintain servers, backups, and security patching.
• Support disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Act as technical lead on infrastructure changes.
• Identify and implement service improvements.
• Ensure high availability of systems.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners.
• Participate in an on-call rota for support.
• Contribute to documentation and best practices.

Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365)

VMware and virtualised environments

Linux-based server operating systems
