Job summary

Pave Recruit is seeking a project manager to lead and manage complex programmes across water, environment, infrastructure and highways sectors in the UK. You will support multiple projects, nurture client relationships, and guide project teams to successful delivery.

The role demands technical expertise, leadership, and the ability to operate at consultant level with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring quality and budget compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • A relevant civil engineering or environmental engineering degree.
  • Demonstrable background in highways engineering and project management.
  • Ability and knowledge to operate at consultant level.
  • Proven experience working with sub-contractors, programmes, reviewing contracts and budgeting.
  • Demonstrable appetite for learning and developing career.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex projects and programmes in water, environment, infrastructure and highways.
  • Support multiple projects, assist successful execution and foster client relationships.
  • Align project objectives with overall programme success.
  • Select and evaluate subcontractors and suppliers; conduct due diligence.
  • Ensure subcontractors comply with quality, safety and specifications; monitor performance.
  • Provide guidance to Project Managers and teams to enable high performance.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation and resolution strategies.
