Job summary

Cranswick Plc in Brough, HU15, is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing Group IT department. You will own and operate core infrastructure across multi-site environments, focusing on reliability, security and performance of servers, storage, and networks.

You will work hands-on with Windows Server, virtualization, compute, AD and network services, while delivering upgrades, automation via PowerShell, and technical escalation when incidents arise.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with enterprise infrastructure, including Windows Server, virtualisation, compute, storage, Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Practical knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing and switching.
• Experience with backup, recovery, monitoring and infrastructure lifecycle management.
• PowerShell, scripting or automation experience is beneficial.
• Certifications are a bonus, but core knowledge and willingness to learn matter.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve core infrastructure services across our multi-site environment.
• Support virtualisation, hyperconverged infrastructure, compute, storage and Windows Server.
• Support Cisco networking, Meraki wireless and Fortinet firewalls.
• Maintain and monitor Rubrik backup and recovery solutions.
• Deliver infrastructure upgrades, migrations and deployments as part of Group projects.
• Provide technical escalation for complex infrastructure issues and major incidents.
• Help standardise and automate infrastructure using PowerShell and other technologies.
• Work closely with on-site IT teams, Project Management and technology partners.
