Job summary

Cranswick PLC is seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our Group IT department at our new office in Brough. You will manage and maintain core infrastructure across multiple sites, ensuring high performance, security and availability of servers, storage, networks and backup systems.

We’re looking for hands-on experience with enterprise infrastructure, Windows Server, virtualization, networking, backup/recovery and automation using PowerShell.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with enterprise infrastructure including Windows Server, virtualization, compute, storage, Active Directory & Group Policy.
• Practical knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing/switching).
• Experience with backup, recovery, monitoring and infrastructure lifecycle management.
• Enjoys solving complex technical problems and takes ownership through to resolution.
• Experience with PowerShell, scripting or automation is beneficial.
• Experience with technologies such as Nutanix, Hyper-V, Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Rubrik, Cisco, Meraki and Fortinet is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve core infrastructure services across our multi-site environment.
• Support virtualization, hyperconverged infrastructure, compute, storage and Windows Server.
• Support Cisco networking, Meraki wireless and Fortinet firewalls.
• Maintain and monitor Rubrik backup and recovery solutions.
• Deliver infrastructure upgrades, migrations and deployments as part of Group projects.
• Provide technical escalation for complex infrastructure issues and major incidents.
• Help standardise and automate infrastructure using PowerShell and other technologies.
• Work closely with on-site IT teams, Project Management and technology partners.

As our Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll:

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on experience with enterprise infrastructure, including Windows Server, virtualisation, compute, storage, Active Directory and Group Policy

• Certifications are a bonus, but what matters most is your technical knowledge, attitude and willingness to learn
