Junior Infrastructure Engineer
Permanent | Salary up to 45,000 | Didcot / Hybrid
An established organisation is looking to add a Junior Infrastructure Engineer to its internal technology team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their infrastructure career who wants to develop their skills across a much broader technical environment. You'll be joining a team responsible for keeping a varied infrastructure estate reliable, secure and performing well across on-premises and cloud environments. It's a hands-on role for someone who enjoys understanding how systems work, solving problems and learning new technology. You'll get exposure across infrastructure, cloud, databases, monitoring, networking and automation, with support and training available as you develop.
We're not expecting someone to know everything from day one. You'll ideally have some experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, technical support or a similar environment , together with a genuine interest in developing your technical career. A basic understanding of Linux, networking, servers or cloud technology would be useful, but attitude and technical aptitude are just as important as your existing experience.
We're looking for someone who is:
This isn't a role where you'll be limited to one small area of IT. You'll have the opportunity to work across a broad infrastructure environment , gaining exposure to cloud, servers, databases, monitoring, networking, security and automation. You'll have support from experienced engineers and established processes initially, with the expectation that you'll gradually take on more responsibility as your skills develop. For someone looking to build a career in Infrastructure, Cloud or Operations , this offers the chance to develop a genuinely broad technical skill set early in their career.
If you're technically curious, enjoy solving problems and want a role where you'll keep learning, we'd like to hear from you.
