Job summary

Accent Group Limited is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer in Bradford. The role combines hybrid working with hands-on management of Azure, on-premises infrastructure, and security tooling. You will help modernise systems and improve resilience across the technology estate.

You will work closely with other teams to monitor, patch and troubleshoot endpoints and servers while contributing to documentation and knowledge sharing. A collaborative, problem-solving mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating in modern enterprise environments with server, storage, network and security services technologies.
• Strong experience managing on-premise servers, storage systems, and virtualization platforms.
• Real world hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure across PaaS and IaaS domains.
• Proficiency in LAN/WAN technologies, switches, firewalls, routing protocols, and network security.

Responsibilities

• Provide infrastructure, cloud and security support to deliver secure, reliable technology.
• Maintain and monitor on-premises and Cloud environments including Azure and M365.
• Act as escalation point for Service Desk and Apps teams and drive proactive patching and troubleshooting.
• Document processes and share knowledge to support continuous improvement.

Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Hybrid, Bradford ( One day per week in our Bradford office, with some occasional travel where required for support and team meetings)

Salary: £50,321 per annum

Permanent, 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday between 8am and 6pm (flexible)

What you'll be doing :

We're looking for anInfrastructure Engineer who enjoys problem-solving, collaborating with others and delivering technology that makes a meaningful impact for colleagues, and the communities we serve.

You’ll join the team that is responsible for a broad, hybrid technical estate. The team is responsible for implementing, developing and maintaining:

• Azure Technology Stack (PaaS & IaaS)
• Private Cloud/On-premises infrastructure, including our Data Center HCI, Virtualisation platform
• Networking (LAN / WAN & SD-WAN)
• The full suite of M365 apps and services to provide endpoint management and secure access
• Providing an SME level escalation point for our Service Desk and App Support teams
• Proactive monitoring, patching and troubleshooting of endpoints and systems
• Documentation, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Some of the key technologies we use:

• Primarily Microsoft technologies (Server VMs, AD, DNS etc.)
• VMware/VxRail HCI (Nutanix experience would be an advantage)
• Azure PaaS/IaaS; VMs, App Service, Storage, Azure SQL, VNETs, App GW, DevOps
• M365 Apps inc, EntraID, Intune, Defender EDR/MDR, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams
• Cisco Meraki Networking
• Rubrik (on-premises) & Avepoint (M365) backup platforms

Infrastructure Engineer Salary

The spot salary for this post is £50,321 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. If you're still developing some of the skills or experience, you can start at a salary 5% or 10% below the spot rate, with clear support and progression opportunities to reach the full amount.

You will be comfortable working in modern enterprise environments and keen to keep developing your technical knowledge. You will bring a practical, collaborative approach and enjoy solving problems and making a difference.

• Proven experience operating in modern enterprise environments with S erver, data storage, network and security services technologies.
• Strong experience managing on-premise s servers, storage systems, and virtualisation platforms.
• Real world, h ands-on experience with Microsoft Azure across PaaS and IaaS domains
• Proficiency in LAN/WAN technologies, switches, firewalls, routing protocols, and network security
• Experience using monitoring tools for proactive issue resolution.
• Skilled in troubleshooting complex technical issues and performing root cause analysis.

You’ll also be someone who enjoys a varied day-to-day role - You could be replacing hardware in the data centre one day and the next working with our Development Team on a new integration or Web App.
