Job summary

Tact in Manchester is seeking an Infrastructure DevOps Engineer to own and scale our infrastructure. You’ll operate Kubernetes clusters across bare-metal and cloud, build robust CI/CD pipelines, and ensure strong monitoring and security practices for rapid, reliable deployments.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, ownership in a small team, and contributing to security and SOC 2 compliance as the platform processes billions of requests monthly. Office-based in Manchester City Centre.

Qualifications

• Experience running Kubernetes clusters in production.
• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid Linux and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with self-hosted infrastructure.
• SOC 2, incident management and on-call responsibilities.
• Proactive, curious and ownership mindset in a small team.
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own Kubernetes clusters across bare-metal and cloud environments.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable deployments.
• Manage monitoring, observability and infrastructure performance.
• Own SOC 2 processes and incident reporting.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and participate in on-call support.
• Make architectural decisions to scale the platform as the company grows.
