Job summary

DGH Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a leading client in the Professional Services industry for an Infrastructure and Cloud Engineer to join the London team. The role can be performed remotely.

You will architect, implement, optimize and troubleshoot enterprise-scale server environments across cloud, hybrid and on-prem deployments, collaborating with security and operations teams to ensure best practices and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience architecting and deploying enterprise-scale infrastructure.
• Experience with cloud, hybrid and on-prem deployments.
• Ability to document architectures and provide training.
• Work with Information Security and compliance requirements.
• Lead technical projects and provide root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Research, evaluate, and recommend technical solutions to address business challenges
• Architect, engineer, and deploy to production technical solutions including detailed architectural designed documentation
• Work closely with Information Security team to ensure systems meet all best practice and compliance requirements
• Transition systems from engineering to Operations teams by providing documentation and training to technical staff.
• Lead technical projects and sub projects across the department
• Serve as subject matter expert and internal consultant to other technical staff and groups
• Be the top level responsible party for escalated support, working directly with external vendors and consultants to resolve issues and produce root cause analysis reports
• Efficiently triage and prioritize tasks, projects and issues in a highly demanding environment

Please note: This role can be performed on a fully remote basis.

You should have in-depth experience architecting, implementing, optimizing and troubleshooting enterprise scale server environments including cloud based, hybrid and on-prem deployments.

Responsibilities

• Research, evaluate, and recommend technical solutions to address business challenges
• Architect, engineer, and deploy to production technical solutions including detailed architectural designed documentation
• Work closely with Information Security team to ensure systems meet all best practice and compliance requirements

Required Technical Expertise

• Broad understanding and ability to execute various industry standards for infrastructure technologies.
• Expert understanding of storage and virtualization technologies, OS (Windows and Linux), Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery and other infrastructure related technologies.
• Solid troubleshooting skills for the infrastructure.
• Storage and Virtualization experience with Nutanix, Linux, Proxmox, Azure etc. preferred.
• Solid understanding of PowerShell and general scripting/automation
• Solid understanding of implementing proper health/status monitoring for mission critical systems
• Good understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) in a hybrid environment so to integrate Infrastructure technologies.
• Good understanding of networking to help troubleshoot problems.
• High level understanding of security technologies such as encryption (in flight and at rest), privilege management, CIS compliance etc.
