Job summary

Softcat is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead IT infrastructure and managed services projects across public and private sector clients from Manchester. You will manage delivery using PRINCE2, coordinate cross-functional teams, and engage stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires a strong background in infrastructure projects, Prince2 qualification, and the ability to work under pressure while delivering on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience managing customer infrastructure or managed service projects of varying size and complexity.
• Prince2 Practitioner qualified or proven track record against similar methodologies.
• Excellent project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of infrastructure and managed services projects for public and private sector customers, applying PRINCE2 methodology across the full project lifecycle
• Delivering solutions that meet the customer’s business needs within agreed parameters of cost, timescale and quality
• Coordinating multiple internal services teams, remote technical resources and third-party vendors and distributors, aligning the right skills to each project
• Keeping all project stakeholders informed and engaged throughout delivery, working directly with customers on site and from your Softcat base
• Leading projects independently while supporting fellow project managers and coordinators on work of varying size and complexity, solving problems pragmatically under pressure
