Job summary

Softcat plc. in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a portfolio of infrastructure and managed services projects, ensuring delivery within cost, timescales and quality.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams and work with clients on site or from Softcat base. The role requires a proven track record delivering client-facing infrastructure projects, Prince2 Practitioner qualification, and strong stakeholder management and problem-solving under pressure.

Job description

base location and client sites. You will be responsible for managing multiple projects and keeping all project stakeholders updated throughout the project lifecycle. The ability to work under pressure and solve problems in a pragmatic manner is essential. You'll manage the development and delivery of the solution to meet the customer's business needs, working with multiple services teams, aligning the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality. You'll work both individually as well as alongside project managers and project coordinators to lead and support projects of varying size and complexity.

As Project Manager, you'll be responsible for:

• Managing a portfolio of infrastructure and managed services projects for public and private sector customers, applying PRINCE2 methodology across the full project lifecycleDelivering solutions that meet the customer's business needs within agreed parameters of cost, timescale and qualityCoordinating
• multiple internal services teams, remote technical resources and third-party vendors and distributors, aligning the right skills to each project
• Keeping all project stakeholders informed and engaged throughout delivery, working directly with customers on site and from your Softcat base
• Leading projects independently while supporting fellow project managers and coordinators on work of varying size and complexity, solving problems pragmatically under pressure
