Job summary

Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited is seeking an Information Security Engineer to own the incident response lifecycle and reduce risk across cloud, SaaS and enterprise environments. You will collaborate with Infrastructure and Engineering teams to remediate vulnerabilities and shape security controls across the organization.

The role requires hands-on experience in security monitoring, incident response and AWS security, with a focus on proactive threat hunting, SIEM tuning and security tooling

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management or cloud security.
• Proven experience owning incident response through triage, containment, eradication and post-incident review.
• Strong AWS cloud security experience, including applying security controls, monitoring and response techniques across environments at scale.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, endpoint protection and vulnerability scanning platforms within cloud environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical security findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess and reduce security risk across cloud, SaaS and enterprise environments.
• Partner with engineering and development teams to remediate vulnerabilities across code, cloud and endpoint environments.
• Lead end-to-end incident response from triage through containment, eradication and post-incident review.
• Conduct proactive, structured threat hunting on a defined cadence.
• Maintain and tune SIEM detection rules.
• Contribute to security tooling evaluations and the wider security technology roadmap.
• Produce post-incident reports and present findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Participate in a shared rotating on-call schedule.
