Location: Portsmouth, UK

Contract Duration: 22 August 2025 – 24 October 2025

Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance Required – Only candidates with current SC clearance will be considered

Job Overview:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Migration Support Technician to support a major hardware refresh project. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth and efficient device migration process for end users. You’ll work closely with the Contractor Engineer and Site Manager to coordinate device movements, assist users, and maintain accurate records throughout the migration.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Set up and maintain the Refresh Clinic for device migrations.
2. Move devices from onsite storage to the Refresh Clinic as needed.
3. Assist users with logging into systems and refreshing laptops.
4. Distribute new devices and collect old ones according to the migration schedule.
5. Update the workflow management system accurately at each step.
6. Report and escalate any issues during the migration process.
7. Perform daily manual stock checks and report findings.
8. Ensure secure packaging and storage of collected devices for disposal or refurbishment.
9. Lock and secure all equipment at the end of each day.

Required Skills & Experience:

1. Previous experience in IT support, device migration, or technical refresh projects.
2. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
3. Ability to follow structured processes and meet deadlines.
4. Experience with workflow management systems.
5. Good problem-solving and issue reporting skills.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
7. You must hold an active SC clearance to be eligible for this role.
