Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading UK manufacturing group to establish a new Business Partnering function. Based in Doncaster, you will link Group IT with the Division, reporting to the CIO and Divisional MD, sitting on the IT Leadership Team and divisional Senior Leadership Team.

This senior role requires a solution mindset, strong commercial and operational insight, and the ability to build business cases and governance for major transformation programmes.

Qualifications

• You have a strong background in a manufacturing environment.
• You understand how technology supports manufacturing operations.
• You come from an IT, business analysis, solution or operations background.
• You have experience in a sizeable, complex business, ideally a federated or matrix organisation.
• You’re confident with business cases, change requests and formal governance.
• You’re an excellent communicator who can influence without authority and is equally comfortable with MDs and shop-floor teams.
• You’re energetic, self-starting and solutions-focused, the kind of person who rolls their sleeves up and gets on with it.
• You’re happy to be visible on site in Doncaster and to travel to other group locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Get to know the division’s operations, strategy and priorities in depth, from the boardroom to the shop floor.
• Identify opportunities where technology can improve efficiency, process and performance, and shape them into clear problem statements.
• Work closely with technical and architecture colleagues to shape solutions before they go to design authority.
• Build business cases and guide initiatives through governance, approval and delivery, so that value is realised.
• Help shape the divisional technology strategy alongside the CIO.
• Champion Group standards and platforms such as SAP and Workday across the division.
• Partner with the Group Business Services function to uncover efficiency opportunities.

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with one of the UK’s leading manufacturing groups. The business is growing, acquisitive and investing heavily in digital transformation. It is now setting up a Business Partnering function, and you’ll be there from the start, helping to shape how technology drives value across its largest Division.

The role

You’ll be the strategic link between Group IT and the Division. You’ll report to the CIO, with a strong dotted line to the Divisional MD, and sit on both the IT Leadership Team and the divisional Senior Leadership Team.

This isn’t a support role or a project management role. It’s for someone with a solution mindset and real commercial and operational insight, who can spot where technology can solve a business problem and turn it into real results. You will:

• Get to know the division’s operations, strategy and priorities in depth, from the boardroom to the shop floor

• You come from an IT, business analysis, solution or operations background. A process-first, BA-style approach works especially well here.
• You have experience in a sizeable, complex business, ideally a federated or matrix organisation.
• You’re confident with business cases, change requests and formal governance.
• You’re an excellent communicator who can influence without authority and is equally comfortable with MDs and shop‑floor teams.
• You’re energetic, self‑starting and solutions‑focused, the kind of person who rolls their sleeves up and gets on with it.
• You’re happy to be visible on site in Doncaster and to travel to other group locations as needed.
