About the Opportunity

I’m partnering with a leading tech recruitment agency to appoint a Contract Leader for their ambitious contract division. The agency already dominates the permanent space and is now scaling its contract team to match. With a profitable team currently billing 58% above target, they’re ready for a strategic, hands-on leader to push things further and solidify their market presence.

You’ll take charge of a high-performing contract recruitment team, inherit strong consultants and lead strategic expansion. This is a standout opportunity for a senior or principal consultant ready to step into a genuine associate director-level role with real influence.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead from the Front: Continue billing while mentoring a team of experienced tech contract recruiters.
  • Drive Growth: Define and execute a plan to grow the contract division to rival the permanent business, focusing on regional markets with the option to expand into London.
  • Develop Talent: Coach and elevate your team, supporting their development and career progression.
  • Own the Numbers: Take full P&L responsibility and steer the team towards even greater profitability.
  • Collaborate: Partner with the permanent division to pitch contract services to shared clients and maximise opportunities.

  • Tech Recruitment Expert: A seasoned contract recruiter with a proven track record in tech (software, infrastructure, transformation).
  • Strategic Leader: Experienced in managing or mentoring recruiters, with strong market awareness.
  • Commercially Savvy: Thrives in a high-performance, target-driven environment while balancing billing and leadership.
  • Ambitious Visionary: Ready to step up from a senior/principal role and build a standout contract function.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CRM platforms, AI tools and modern training systems.
