Role Summary

The role requires an experienced IT professional to join of a small, dedicated team of eight servicing over 450 engineering and support staff. We are looking for an engineer who will have a hands-on role assisting in delivering our IT projects with other team members. You will be expected to work to agreed timescales, coordinating with our senior engineers as and when required.

The role is hybrid office based, from Capula’s head office in Stone, Staffordshire. The successful candidate will be expected to work from this office a minimum of two days per week.

Requirements

• Higher education computer related qualification, or comparable industry experience.
• Good experience working in an IT team; including delivering projects.
• Good understanding of networking tools, antivirus, and security applications.
• Good understanding of Microsoft Windows Server, and Active Directory.
• Preferably have formal ITIL compliance training or working within a ITIL system.

Technology

• Microsoft Windows Server, SharePoint, Office 365, VMWare.
• Dell servers and laptops, Apple phones and tablets.
• Clients using Microsoft Windows 11. Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, and AutoCAD.
• Sophos Endpoint Security. FortiGate Firewalls & VPN.
• Veeam Backup & Recovery.
• HP Network Switches, Kyocera Printers.

Personal Attributes

• Confident and capable and able to work under own initiative.
• Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines.
• Used to working within defined procedures with the associated level of detail.
• Has excellent communication skills.
