Job Role: IT Business Development Manager (New Business)

Commission Plan: Up to 30% on thresholds being met

Chapman Tate Associates seeks an IT Business Development Manager to join this fast-growing, entrepreneurial, and independent IT firm. You will be based from home but must have a UK Driving License.

The company delivers a range of managed IT services across Cloud, Compute, Storage, IT Infrastructure, Data Connectivity, and modern EUC workplace strategies. They have developed innovative services in automation, governance, and security, helping them stand out from competitors.

Having grown from £2.5 million to £12 million in turnover recently, they are working with enterprise clients on major IT transformation projects.

Your role involves working alongside the Head of Sales and Operations, focusing on generating and winning new business. Initially, 80% of your efforts will target new business, gradually shifting to a 50/50 split with existing clients.

The responsibilities include:

  • Generating and closing new business through client acquisition
  • Qualifying opportunities and responding promptly to new leads
  • Driving opportunities through the sales cycle to closure
  • Providing Pre-Sales support to the IT Services team
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in CRM
  • Building rapport with potential clients to understand their objectives
  • Collaborating with operations to align solutions with client needs
  • Delivering professional client presentations
  • Writing compelling proposals tailored to client objectives

You should have excellent commercial acumen and a proven track record in selling managed IT services, especially in Cloud, Security, and Infrastructure. Strong time management, listening skills, and a professional, consultative sales approach are essential.
